Ah, the theatre... The show must go on, in spite of disastrous mishaps, mortifying flubs, happy accidents, and heroic ad libs … Featured in previous years of Atlanta Fringe Festival, these are three episode selections from “Never Say Macbeth,” with your host Laurie Winkel: the podcast about the unpredictability of life on the stage and how we cope with major surprises. Buckle up, because some of these stories are pretty crazy.
A taste of romance, a helping of affirmation: The Food of Love is a Phase Eight Theater Company’s queer, gourmand adaptation of Cyrano de Bergerac whose five acts of romantic comedy unfold over five mouthwatering descriptions of dinner courses, which listeners can make using the recipes provided at PhaseEight.org. Now in its third year, The Food of Love was adapted for quarantined times into a podcast-style, audio-only production co-written by and starring Jacksonville, Florida-based trans artist Andres D. Bravo. Listeners are encouraged to prepare their show-inspired meal in advance with recipes provided at phase8theater.org.
